  1. People don’t read documentation, so I think it’s important we give them what they need to achieve what they want to do, and nothing more. We can link to additional information, whether that’s in the codex or other manuals. After all, the handbooks will be one element of getting involved. Contributors are going to learn as more by getting involved with projects, hanging out in IRC chat rooms, and actually doing.
